The Bank of East Asia, UK Branches

Established in 1990, the London Branch of The Bank of East Asia ("BEA") is strategically located in the heart of Central London to serve the Chinese community. Following the success of the London Branch, we opened our second UK branch in Birmingham in 1997. We further strengthened our presence in the UK with the opening of a third branch in Manchester in 2013.

Since opening our doors to the public, our branches in the UK have experienced strong, sustained growth, providing a wide range of retail and corporate banking services to a growing clientele and contributing to the overall financial prosperity of the community.

BEA is the largest independent local bank in Hong Kong, with total consolidated assets of HK$788.5 billion (US$101.0 billion) as of 30th June, 2017. The Bank is listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and is one of the constituent stocks of the Heng Seng Index.

The Bank was one of the first foreign banks to receive approval from the China Banking Regulatory Commission to establish a locally incorporated bank in Mainland China. This wholly-owned subsidiary, named The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited, offers a full range of banking and financial services to a broad customer base that includes local residents and businesses.

BEA has also established presence in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Southeast Asia.
